Board Member Nominations Open 2 November 2026
A strong and committed Board is crucial for SASSLA's operation. This is your chance to be actively involved as a Board Member in shaping the strategic direction of YOUR Association and contributing to growing our strong leadership voice in representing the interests of all SA public school leaders to government and the department.Being a Board Member will give you an excellent insight into the operations of SASSLA, the department and the big strategic issues facing school leaders. Being on a Board is a great learning opportunity that is a valuable addition to your resume in demonstrating leadership and commitment to your profession.
Five SASSLA Board Members finish their two year tenure at next year’s AGM in April 2027. Nominations for these positions open Monday 2 November 2026 and close on Friday 4 December 2026 at 12.00noon. Tenures are for two years and run from the April 2027 AGM until the April 2029 AGM. Four Board Members are elected one year and five the next to ensure continuity of the Board.
All SASSLA members (who were financial at the close of roll on 30 September 2026) will receive an email from the Australian Election Company on Monday 2 November 2026 which includes the Notice of Election and Nomination Form. The forms and instructions are also included below for your convenience. Nominees will require endorsement by two current SASSLA members.
